We got Theo from SMD almost 3 years ago and we couldn’t be more happy or grateful. He is truly such a joyous loving dog, and my best friend. My F3 bernedoodle from Stone Mountain Dogs recently had her 1st birthday and I thought to take a moment to thank SMD. My Lucie was a part of Priscilla and Gucie’s litter and we could not be happier for making the decision to adopt her. Jay & Blake were very helpful in matching me with my dog as well as answering my many questions. I adopted from out of state and did my selection through a video call and they sent me periodic updates with photos. She was driven & delivered down to my home in North Carolina for a fee that was well worth the ease. Some extras I have done: enrolled Lucie in Puppy Intelligence training program (2 weeks), have been giving her the recommended NuVet multi-vitamin daily, and we have been very pleased with the quality of food from recommended TLC Pet Food that auto-ships and delivers very easily to us. Angie’s work in her pre-puppy training and de-sensitization is a game changer – our dog is not afraid of much, barks very little and is quiet, she is not sensitive to loud noises and she is great with grooming so much that I trim her nails and groom her all myself. We travel a lot and she does great in the car. She hardly sheds, although we do see hair that comes out on the brush. Lucie’s mom (F3) was 28lbs and her dad (F1) was 52lbs and at 13 months old and 31 lbs, our vet has noticed her weight stabilizing on adult food now which is inline of what SMD . Highly recommend Stone Mountain Dogs and forever grateful for the joy Lucie brings our family. Sincere thank you.

Let me start by saying how much we love our bernadoodle puppy Clover (f/k/a Pebbles)! We have had her for 24 hours and she’s already a member of the family. Clover came ready to play, snuggle and walk on a leash, and has been nearly perfect in going outside to do her business. Incredible! You can tell that Clover was raised with love and care by the entire team at SMD, and her comfort with humans, different textures and environments is just wonderful. She even slept for several hours at a time on her first night home. But we want to give a special shout out to Blake for his patience, flexibility, communication and care: he made this entire experience in choosing, buying and transporting our puppy an excellent one! My husband and I lost our chocolate lab of 14.5 years on February 12, 2025. I was so sad and disliked our quiet house without a dog. We went on a cruise and while on the cruise, I convinced him to let me get another dog. We were between getting a Berner or an Aussie. My husband urged me to get the dog I’ve always wanted, a Berner. My daughter made the first contact with Blake to ask if the website reflected current availability. Blake confirmed that the dog I wanted was still available. While we were in Mexico, Blake called and answered the questions I had about the Berner I wanted and the process to adopt her. I followed up by filling out the online reservation form and sending in my $300 deposit. I talked to Blake about a good time to pick her up. We traveled from Dallas, TX to Ohio to get her. The day before I was planning to go get her, Blake texted me to confirm the time. He also told me he was going out of town and that I would go directly to the breeder. I was definitely not sure of that, but it all worked out. I met the breeder’s wife instead of the breeder, Nelson Burkholder. She had recently given my pup a bath as she was still a little damp. Blake had left the SMD bag with her vaccination record, her food, a toy, etc in it as promised. We took her with us to our daughter’s apartment 2 hours away in Columbus. The next day, we had her examined by a VCA vet to confirm that she was healthy. My pup is very beautiful, loving and spunky. She seems to have had some training to help with house breaking. She is smart and is learning quickly as she explores her new world. We love our Maggie immensely. Overall, quite pleased with SMD. If you’re looking for a Bernese Mountain Dog, they definitely have them! Update: Our Maggie is now 22 weeks old. She is the sweetest and smartest dog. She was easy to potty training and is great with other people and dogs. She loves to go on walks and visit friends. Another update: Our Maggie is now almost 8 months old. We weighed her today and she’s 78 lbs.she loves to go camping in our RV and is doing excellently on her leash walks. She is the sweetest girl and is very well behaved.

Without a doubt this was the best experience ever. Blake was very friendly and responsive. He was willing to take his time and answer all my questions. Delivery was spot on and flawless. We love our Buster! He’s the absolute sweetest dog ever. His temperament is perfect and he came with some training. I would definitely recommend mountain dog companion for all your Berner needs, lol! My only regret was not getting 2 dogs!

Just LOVE our puppy. dealing with SMD was easy and they were helpful with delivery. When i had a problem with registration , they helped me fix it. Getting a great puppy that is comfortable and happy with human companionship is worth the price!

We used Stone Mountain Dogs to get our Bernese Puppy in May! Her name was LuLu from Roxi and Bennys’ litter. We now call her Paisley. Perfect Precious Paisley to be exact. We had a great experience with Blake. We asked a ton of questions and talked with him on the phone. We also used the delivery service and she was brought to our door. She knew how to sit and now shakes with both paws and lays down on command. There is not a single noise that bothers her which is fantastic! She is almost 5 months old and weighs 50lbs and took her first beach trip last week.We couldn’t imagine life without her now and her shaped nose!

We’ve had a great experience so far with Stone Mountain Dogs. Our boy is 13 weeks and we love him so much. Dealing with SMD was very convenient. They made the process of selecting a puppy from afar very easy and reassuring. Then between selection and drop off we got a nice update text / video of our pup. We opted to get our dog delivered. We were living in NYC so we paid a fee of $300 and they brought him to us. Super easy. Could t imagine having another dog besides a Berner and we would use SMD again!

So this is Teddy Bear! I have had him for almost a month! He is an excellent puppy! I have had multiple Golden Retrievers in my life and switched to a Bernese Mountain Dog. Teddy is the best puppy I have ever had. He came already knowing certain commands like sit and come. Dealing with Blake thru the whole process was excellent. He always had time for a message and phone call. He was extremely helpful when picking out potential litters for the puppy I wanted. I was so excited for Teddy to get delivered to me! A service also provided by Mountain Dog that was excellent. Teddy arrived at my front door perfect! I cannot say enough good things about Mountain Dog!

I live in Maine and was a little hesitant to purchase a puppy out of state but let me tell you, don’t hesitate. Blake was amazing and was on top of all communications, etc. The way they raise there pups truly shows! Cisco is 9 weeks in the photo and he’s the best puppy. Transportation was also wonderful. We got the best mini bernedoodle ever from Stone Mountain Dogs. SMD is a very reputable breeder. They have a strong presence on social media especially YouTube! That’s where we found them. They do extensive environment exposure for each pup to give you a well rounded puppy! They also do Genetic testing on the parents to give you the best genetics in a puppy. They also offer a delivery service. We live in Massachusetts, and our puppy was driven and delivered to our house from Ohio safely and with care. I can’t recommend Stone Mountain Dogs for a mini Burna doodle or Bernese Mountain Dog enough. Blake and Tara are wonderful to work with. We even had a FaceTime call with them to see our puppy! We’ve had Duchess (formerly Madison) for 2 weeks now and I could not be more in love with her or more happy with SMD. The hardest part of the whole process was just the wait! We placed a reservation on an upcoming litter after a whole year of research into the breed and watching the SMD page and socials to make sure they were the right fit for us. I loved their open and quick communication and how transparent everything is. You can see all the paperwork for each litter pairing which helped us feel comfortable and we were able to cross reference the information through Bernerguard. I wanted to be sure that this was legit since we are located on the west coast and chose to have our puppy transported via air cargo. The entire process from first phone call, to deposits, payments, litter picks, etc was so easy and seamless. They took care of everything and answered any question I had. Our puppy arrived healthy and is absolutely thriving. I honestly wish I could’ve gotten 2!! I can’t recommend Stone Mountain Dogs enough. If you are hesitant and reading this review, just do it! I would highly recommend SMD as the go to breeder for a Minidoodle puppy. We found their YouTube channel very informative in selecting the right puppy. In addition to being able to view each puppy, they also explain how they condition the puppies from birth. The reservation process was flawless. Blake contacted us in a timely manner and returned our phone calls to answer all our questions. We used the ground delivery service here to the Atlanta area. It was a great experience also. The driver contacted us the day before with an estimated delivery time . He kept us informed of his delivery time by text and arrived within 15 minutes of his scheduled time. Our puppy arrived calm and in great shape. We took our new pup to the vet 3 days later. She was in perfect condition.

He sleeps the whole night with me just humming to him when he’s in the crate. He’s the hit of the neighborhood. I have to limit his social life so he gets rest. Loves to be held. I can play with his paws and ears. Such a people person but also bonding with me. I can’t thank SMD enough. Jay helped with the selection, FaceTime, answering questions, reserving a litter and payment made easy. Delivery was awesome. Such nice people. I would highly recommend SMD .We were very skeptical about finding a good breeder because of previous experiences. SMD truly cares about their dogs and puppies. We love our dog Hamilton (Sylvester) Obtaining the dog was easy, the family we picked him up from was friendly and very helpful, they even checked up on us several days after we picked him up. Hamilton has great temperament and is wonderful with our kids and just an excellent addition to our home. His first vet check-up went well, no big surprises. That being said, when the fecal was completed he was diagnosed with giardia a very common intestinal parasite, but very hard to treat. Sadly, we are still working on clearing the problem up. However, we do not regret adopting Hamilton he is a great dog.

I got a puppy and in only 4 days she has settled in and is doing absolutely great. She has replaced my previous Berner and already she is acting like my old one. Definitely recommend this breeder to anyone. Ability to have access to parents info very impressive. Thank you very much for filling the hole my previous Berner had left. We adopted Eclipse.

Jay & the staff are excellent at Stone Mountain Dogs. Our Simba is amazing & very smart. He is kind and gentle and almost completely potty trained. The training they provide before pickup is second to none. Simba gets along very well with our other two pups. We love how Jay was able to have Simba at the airport for pickup for me. Everything went fantastic with pickup.

We decided in October of 2023 we would be adding a new puppy to our family after our oldest passing, in August we picked up Hudson from SMD. They were amazing to work with and so spot on with temperament! Hudson is the most down to earth loving dog. His behavior blows my mind everyday! He is such a kind, gentle puppy. Where do I begin? It has been a DREAM to work with Jay and his team this past year and I will only ever adopt from him for the rest of ever. I reached out to Jay well over a year ago with about a million questions with future plans for puppy adoption. He was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and transparent about their organization. Over the year, we talked through various litters; he answered every question, returned every call and text (oh man, did I send many!) with kindness and patience, and stuck with me every step of the way. We finally decided on a litter! From pregnancy to birth, Jay kept me up to date every step of the way. Pictures, videos, texts, galore. In addition to his incredible communication (he made me feel like I was his only client… and sometimes I sure acted like it!), he offers a YouTube channel with updates custom to each litter and puppy and an Instragram feed that will tempt you to adopt 8 more puppies. I might. Jay’s puppies are gorgeous, loved, well cared for. His team is knowledgeable, PATIENT, kind, and a dream to work with. If you’re in the market for a Bernese Mountain Dog, you must work with Jay and Stone Mountain Dogs. From start to finish, they have been the best.

I could not recommend this Breeder more highly. The level of socialization in such young puppies,as a former K9 officer er, is an absolute testimonial of how these dogs are cared for before they find their homes. I have wanted a Bernese for years and thanks to Stone Mountain Dogs, we were finally able to make that dream come true! We picked from Tammy’s litter and our boy is very happy, healthy, and beautiful! Jay was and is very willing to answer any questions, very communicative, and kind. Our puppy was flown from Ohio to Colorado to be with us and everyone involved did amazing. August (puppy) wasn’t shaken up or nervous when we received him which I was very thankful for. From start to delivery Jay was awesome! Responded in a timely manner. Answered all questions and concerns. We got Jenna, but we changed her name to Harley. Brian who delivered her was great and kept you updated on her ETA. My husband and I highly recommend SMD.

I spent weeks researching the perfect dog for my family and we decided on a Bernese. I started searching the internet for breeders, pups for sale, and even a local pet store. The pet store wanted $5k for a pup who wasn’t even akc registered. Most of the online “for sales” were either $600 scams or close to 4k. I was at a loss because I felt like I wouldn’t be able to get the perfect pup for my family. I stumbled upon SMD and from the first interaction I knew this was the place for me. I spoke with Jay and he recommended pups based on my family dynamic and temperament preference. I put my deposit in on a Monday and my husband picked up our sweet boy that Friday. He kept raving about how professional, friendly and how well behaved the puppies were. We were so thrilled with the reasonable prices for their pups with all the love and care that is included. My kids are absolutely in love with “Elvis”, aka Beary, and we absolutely will buy any future pups exclusively with them. I highly recommend this breeder if you want happy, healthy pups!

We purchased a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy back in April 2022. Very big boy. Jay was wonderful in getting our pup sent out to us and I can honestly say, I have referred a few people, because they absolutely loved our boy %. I contacted countless breeders before we found mountain dog companion. I am incredibly picky, all of them had red flags and I was giving up hope. I ended up contacting Jay just to see what the process was and he answered all of my questions so patiently. I had several questions like how many times they are breed within their lifetime, what they test for, if they had any issues with their prior dogs, etc. All the answers were exactly how breeding should occur. It was such a relief to find a good honest breeder. I especially love how up front they are about the testing they do on the parents. They asked about us to make sure our puppy was going to a good home, which was comforting. They truly do care about their dogs and want the best result of breeding. Lucy is so playful, loving, and curious. She is incredibly smart and so far very healthy.

Stone Mountain Dogs and Joe were fantastic breeders to work with. My sister and I got two beautiful healthy Mini Bernedoodles , a boy and a girl, and we could not be more happy. We were a little skeptical at first since we lived on the other side of the country, but Joe really helped reassured us and took care of us every step of the way.
